Pixar's marketing teams do a great job creating eye-catching posters that communicate the films' plots and worlds, while also leaving curiosity in viewers. The posters have helped Pixar achieve massive success, helping to draw in many audiences to see their movies. Although Pixar's movies can be great, the posters deserve recognition as well.

Similar to the first two movies' posters, Toy Story 3's posters are bright and colorful. However, one particular poster uses darker colors that hint at the film's prison setting. Although the characters are all smiling and remain colorful, the background is in darker colors.

In addition, the tagline is "The Great Escape." The poster is hinting at the film's prison escape plot while masking the film's darker story through the characters' happy poses. Thus, the poster allows the final film to surprise the audience with where Toy Story 3's tone ultimately goes.

Finding Dory's poster calls back to Finding Nemo's, showing Dory in the deep blue sea surrounded by various sea creatures. However, Finding Dory's poster emphasizes how alone Dory is. Whereas Finding Nemo's poster has Marvin and Dory together, Finding Dory's has Dory by herself in the center.

This informs viewers that although there will be many characters, Dory will emotionally be on her own during her journey. The poster also links to the loneliness Dory feels with her memory problems because it's not a situation the other characters can understand.

Although Incredibles 2 has a cool poster with the Parr family in their superhero outfits, there is another noteworthy poster where they don't wear their suits. Instead, they're all out on summer vacation.

The poster has the Parr family wearing casual summer clothes, happily posing for a picture. Humorously, the poster still references their superhero personas by showing their mask outlines on their new tans. Overall, it is a nice poster that differentiates itself from other superhero posters, showing the characters relaxing together as a family instead of being in a deathly battle.

Up's poster is very striking because it has a house high in the sky, being lifted with countless balloons. Although this doesn't give too much plot info, it lets people know that the film will be unique. Not many films have their characters travel through the sky with balloons with an entire house.

Up's poster immediately draws viewers in and makes them curious about who put the house in the sky and why. The poster is also bright and colorful, matching the film's look and feel. Overall, the poster is simplistic but leaves a huge impact.

Inside Out's American poster is fine, but it doesn't do much to show what the film's plot may be. However, the movie's French poster does a better job of hinting at the film's plot. The American poster shows the characters Joy, Sadness, Disgust, Anger, and Fear reflecting their personalities, but it doesn't tell their actual duties since their host Riley isn't present.

The French poster, however, has the emotions together in Riley's silhouette — specifically her head. This tells viewers that the colorful characters are indeed emotions and have a connection in the form of a human host.

The Incredibles was Pixar's first movie about superheroes, so its poster had to reflect that. Thus, the poster depicts great superhero action with the iconic Incredibles family running toward viewers.

The Incredibles's poster does an excellent job with its colors; although there is an abundance of red, it's blended in well with other colors and all the characters stand out. In addition, the world looks action-packed and comic book-like, which further attracts people into superhero comics like The Fantastic Four or Spider-Man.

Monsters, Inc.'s poster is simple but gives people a sense of the film's world. The poster shows a pair of surreal but colorful monsters in darkness with a door-shaped light source. The poster's setting quickly signifies that they're monsters hiding in the closet, which is a common fear in children.

However, the monsters themselves are screaming at whatever is at the door, showing that they're the ones being frightened this time. As a whole, the poster generates curiosity about the film's plot and world, while showcasing that the film won't be too scary for young children.

The film Coco borrows a lot from Mexican culture, including the beloved holiday, Día de los Muertos. Thus, the poster emulates the film's love for Mexican traditions. The poster for Coco has the main character Miguel with his family members. However, many in his family are skeletons, signifying that they're in the Land of the Dead.

In addition, a guitar is separating Miguel from certain relatives, symbolizing how his love for music has caused a rift within his family. All in all, the poster makes it clear to viewers that Día de los Muertos and Mexican music will play a huge role in Coco's plot.

Finding Nemo has Marvin and Dory explore the vast, deep blue sea in search of Nemo. Thus, its poster shows the many supporting characters the protagonists will encounter. Finding Nemo's poster shows various sea creatures, including many fish species, a whale, sea turtles, and different sharks.

In particular, there is a grinning great white shark in the middle, which draws the most attention from viewers. Another noteworthy aspect is that the character Nemo is nowhere to be found, representing Marvin's quest to find his son Nemo.

WALL-E's poster does a great job communicating the setting and protagonist to viewers. The poster depicts the robot WALL-E alone in space, surrounded by trash and without any friends. However, he's also looking hopeful at the sky.

Per his character in the final movie, WALL-E on the poster looks cute and innocent, with a mixture of happiness and sadness. It's clear that he's alone and longing for companionship. Although he's by himself, the sky has pretty colors and the stars have formed a heart, showing that there is someone out there for him.
